Before heading off on the trip to Asheville, I wanted to make sure that all of the birdhouses were entirely touched up and then I wanted to make sure that the stems were painted so that they would last forever (without the wood rotting out).
Unfortunately, I accidentally dropped the can of white paint on my concrete. The lid burst open and my patio was covered in a thick glossy white paint.
Nevertheless, I was able to finish the final touches on the birdhouses and prepare them for transport to Claire's house in Asheville.
