Full Cross Country Flying Kerville, TX This was the first time that Dustin and I had really taken a full day to do cross country flying. We arrived at the airport around 10am, were wheels up around 11:30am, and didn't wind up touching down until about 1:30am. I flew us on a visual course from Austin (KAUS) to San Marcos (KHYI) to Kerville (KERV) by means Diamond K, BJ McCombs, and Rust. I touched down at Kerrville and returned for a quick departure. From there I headed to the Center Point VOR and followed V161 all the way up to the Llano VOR. I then entered the pattern at Llano (KAQO) and did a full stop landing. We dropped Dustin off and Garrett and I worked on some soft field take-offs and landings. Dustin then flew us from Llano (KAQO) down V161 back to the Center Point VOR and back over to Kerrville (KERV). He landed and quickly departed once more. From there he headed back to the Center Point VOR, intercepted V198 and followed it to Kimble Co (KJCT) where we did a quick stop and go. From there we went up to Brady Curtis Field (KBBD) where I would take over once more. I flew us directly from Brady Curtis Field (KBBD) to San Angelo (KSJT) via V76. We then traded seats once more. Dustin flew us from San Angelo (KSJT) back to Llano (KAQO) via V76 and then used site navigation to return us back to Austin.
