 Homemade Dog Food Austin, TX I got the idea a couple of months ago to start making all of Atti's dog food on my own. It's a tiresome process given how much I need to make, but she absolutely loves it. So much so that it's even changed her behavior. She's always been a pretty good dog anyways, but now she's being even sweeter. She's highly motivated by food and this definitely seems to do it! I've used a variety of meats, but the basic formula is 3 pounds of meat and then 2c of brown rice, 2c of carrots, 2c of broccoli, 2c of sweet potato, 2c fresh spinach, and usually one or two diced apples. It's all cooked properly, mixed together, and then portioned out into 5-6oz bags and frozen. |
