As Kim liked putting it, it had been 19 months in the making, but the wedding finally came. ...and subsequently went.
The ceremony was on the gallery level of the Hobby Center in Houston - a three story view out of a five story building. After the wedding ceremony itself, there was a one hour mini-party on the floor below, and then the full reception the floor before that. All of the floors could be seen from the ground floor (so the 2nd and 3rd floors acted more like balconies). It was actually a pretty spectacular place to host such an event.
I had the privilege of performing before the wedding, while the bride walked down the aisle, and after the precession. The presenting of the bride song was called "I'll Catch You" by the Getup Kids.
As my mom has reminded me, this wedding is now the nicest I have attended.
