Since Adrienne and I decided to head out to Marfa for the New Year's holiday, my dear friend Mark put me in touch with two friends of his from Austin.
We had the pleasure of not only meeting Eugene and Steve, but also attending their New Year's Eve party at Marfa's famous Hotel Paisano. They had rented the Rock Hudson suite and I have to say, it was more than spectacular.
We had a wonderful time and met all sorts of absolutely interesting people. We also played the longest game of papers (they called it celebrities) that I have ever played. It was a blast!
