After our lengthy voyage from Ranfurly, Otago back to Dunedin in our broken Sparkle Motion, Tisa and I needed to find a way to get rid of the car.
I tried giving it a way for a few days and even posted some ads on the website I was running in Dunedin, The City Octagon (thecityoctagon.co.nz).
After no luck at all, I finally had to call one of the scrap metal places to come and get it. I assumed that they would come and take the car for free, seeing on how they sell off the scrap metal, but I actually had to pay $50.00 NZD.
I have never seen a car picked up in this particular fashion. Though it worked out ok, I would hate to have been the one with my car parked under the lift.
